On Tuesday, November 6th, the Latin American and Caribbean Community Center will be hosting a community discussion with Afro-Colombian Leader and Organizer CHARO MINA ROJAS at 6:30 pm at the
1083 Austin Ave NE Room 105, Atlanta, GA 30312
Charo Mina Rojas is an Afro-descendant activist, member of the Association for the Internally Displaced Afro-Colombians in USA-AFRODES USA and of PCN (Process of Black Communities) in Colombia. Charo contributed to the formulation, appropriation and development of Law 70 of 1993 (known as the Law of Black Communities). This Law recognized cultural and territorial rights of Afro-Colombians and defined mechanisms for economic and cultural development of Afro-descendant communities. While living in Colombia, she dedicated her professional experience to the education, training and support of the organizational process of black grassroots communities, particularly in the Northern Cauca and Pacific Coast regions.
This discussion will take place on Tuesday, November 6th at 6:30pm at the Little Five Points Community Center. Located at 1083 Austin Ave NE Room 105.
